Creating your first short link

From the dashboard, paste any URL into the input field and click Shorten. Your new short link (e.g. hshr.it/abc123) is ready to copy and share immediately.

You can optionally add a title to help you remember what the link is for. Titles are only visible to you on the dashboard — they are not shown to people who click the link.

What happens when someone clicks your link

When someone visits your short link, hshr.it instantly redirects them to the original URL. At the same time, we record an anonymous click event that includes the country, city, device type, browser, operating system, and referring URL. No personal data is collected from the visitor.

Understanding your dashboard

The dashboard has two main tabs:

• Links — all your short links, with click counts, creation dates, and quick actions (copy, edit, QR code, archive, delete).
• Campaigns — group related links together for organized tracking and rollup analytics.

Use the search bar to find links by title or URL. Filter between active, archived, and trashed links using the status tabs.
